A Thorough, Honest Look at Every Accessible System
HD-RV LLC performs inspections in accordance with the NRVIA Standards of Practice — a methodical, visual evaluation of every accessible system and component in your RV.
Inspections cover the roof and sealants, sidewall delamination, slide-out systems, awnings, 120V AC and 12V DC electrical systems, the LP gas system with a timed leak test, visible plumbing at fixtures and accessible lines, every appliance, the chassis and running gear, life safety devices, and all interior living areas. We do not inspect inside walls or inaccessible areas.
Slide-outs are operated and video recorded during the inspection. If the owner is unavailable or unwilling to assist with slides, awnings, leveling gear, or any hydraulic system, all actions are video recorded to protect all parties. The inspector does not operate the vehicle.
Roof & Exterior
Roof condition and sealants, sidewall integrity and delamination, end caps, windows, storage compartments, chassis lights and markers.
Electrical Systems
Shore power cord, breaker panel, GFCI circuits, polarity, hot skin test, 12V coach system, converter, inverter, generator load test.
Plumbing & LP Gas
City water inlet, fresh water pump, visible fixtures and accessible lines, waste valves (black & grey), water heater, LP leak test at 8" W.C. for 3–5 minutes.
Appliances & Life Safety
Refrigerator (all heat sources), furnace, cook top, AC units with Delta T test, microwave, smoke/CO/LP gas detectors, fire extinguisher.
Chassis & Running Gear
Frame condition, axles, tires (age, tread, pressure), brakes, leveling system operation, hitch equipment, VIN and data plates.
Interior Living Areas
All ceilings, walls, floors for water damage and staining, cabinets and hardware, furniture, entertainment systems, slide-out seals.
Professional Fluid Analysis for Motorized RVs
For any motorized RV, a professional fluid analysis is one of the most valuable diagnostic tools available. Laboratory analysis reveals internal engine, transmission, and cooling system condition that no visual inspection can detect — contamination, abnormal wear metals, coolant degradation, and more.
Results typically take a few days to one week depending on lab demand and shipping. We strongly recommend completing fluid analysis before finalizing any motorized purchase.
All fluid analysis is an add-on service and must be requested and paid for in advance.
